Ballyclare-Dorsten Visit Part 5 (with photos, what else?)

After the guided tour round the town, the whole group (guests and hosts alike) met in the old Town Hall in the Market Square for an official reception by the Mayor of Dorsten and a bit of lunch - a delicious vegetable soup (with meat, ahem...) made by Christa. She had also nicely laid the tables on the day before and decorated them.

But first of all the foreign guests to town were greeted by the mayor, like I was saying, and his discourse was translated by a lady he had brought along, and she solved her task quite well, though she sometimes had to try and find her words somewhere up on the ceiling ;-) ...

Everyone listened, and then the press lady from the local paper came to interview the youngest visitor to Dorsten, Jack, whose dad also runs a blog on this visit - from a Ballyclarian point of view - under http://dorsten2007.blogspot.com/ --- and this lady at first was struggling quite a bit with the digital camera she had brought along ... but she did manage to get her photo taken, after all, and there was an article out in the paper featuring 4-year-old Jack as the youngest visitor the day after.
