The time has come for me to start putting up the photos I took (on commission) of the last rehearsal, the preparations (doing the dancers' hair, applying their make-up etc.) and the performance of "Frau Holde", a tailor-made (by their own teacher) stage production for all her dance students of all her classes from age 3 up to 55 according to the Grimm's Fairy Tale of Mother Holle. The teacher did everything she could to give everyone a part and still meet their abilities, and in the end the show was a big success. (In an earlier installment, I think I presented the advertising poster for this performance, which I had made myself, too).
The first photos that can be seen are a selection of those taken in the changing/make-up rooms.
One of the two main actresses, this one played the part of the "mean and ugly sister", who, however, is her daddy's favourite, and who is quite conceited and vain, believing she is the most beautiful on earth. She had her face made up first and her hair done later.
The second main actress, playing the part of step sister to the other, and being forced to do all the household chores (some sort of "Cinderella" once more), gets her hair done first, make up still pending. She needed to get lovely golden curls done, for she is the nice, hard-working, pretty and good one in the piece.
Other actors being made up, and the last here (playing the role of a dream figure in one of the day-dreams of the "bad" sister) is getting mascara applied by the very dance teacher who founded that school, whose whole enterprise is that school, who developed the choreography for the entire piece, who wrote the script, who did all of the production work, who directed the whole ... amazing work!
