On my tours overland, I happened to meet the top two animals out there in the wild, and I must say I have never so far had a doe stop and stay and watch and allow me to take her photo. The pheasant was also quite ok with me taking his pic.
These two are lounging on what calls itself our "lawn" in our garden, it is Mia in front, of course, and her new wanna-be best friend Sammy, who is practically "wooing" her (if the serenades he sings for her all night long are anything to go by), he so tries to make himself her friend. But actually, Mia doesn't want to have any feline friends, she's happy enough with her humans, so she usually chases away all the cats that come round, either to take a closer look at our garden, or to use it as a transit area. Therefore this peaceful and considerably close "get-together" was a rare and surprising sight! :D
And for once, my daughter brought out her two Taiwanese Beauty Snakes to let them explore the lawn (in the sun), but they got warm and agile and therefore QUICK ever so fast, she could not let them be out there for too long. By the way, we are beginning to have our doubts about their sex. They were claimed to be two brothers, i.e. both male, but the things these two snakes have been doing of late are sooo extremely "un-brother-like" in behaviour ... we no longer believe they are both male!!!
