While I happily photographed all the beautiful houses on the eastern, the Anatolian, side of Bosporus, as they were bathed in this lovely light we had, I, for once changed to the other side of the boat we were on and saw him cruising past thus leisurely and thought by myself, "Hang on, this is a nice picture!" Well - still today I think that it is a nice picture, indeed.
But back to looking towards the east, as the sun shone so straightly into some people's homes, we could look right through their living rooms. Whoa, with windows as large as these, with a house that gets the direct sun all during the afternoon, and with tourist boats (and other boats) going past at all times, you must never be sloppy about your household. NEVER!
Well, that aspect is just a little less important for those who live further up the hill! Their views must be grand!
Approaching the "corner", where inland Kandilli Road makes a bend to later meet Kandilli Iskelesi Road (leading to Kandilli Pier), also Fatih-Sultan-Mehmet-Bridge first came in sight.
Another very popular spot among the anglers of Istanbul.
And once round that bend, here's a view back to where we came from and back onto Bosporus Bridge. The light is becoming more and more golden. Sunset isn't too far away.
This summer house has obviously been closed for the winter.
And even closer to Fatih-Sultan-Mehmet-Bridge, we caught a glimpse of Küçüksu Kasri, another little summer palace, that was built for Sultan Abdümecit, who also had Dolmabahçe Palace built for him.
