But on the way there (and we could easily walk there on foot), we not only came past more mosques, whose minarettes were all covered in scaffolding, though, and which we did not visit (which accounts for the fact that at first I didn't know which one this was ... oops...!, though a phone conversation with "my reader" helped me learn that it must be "Nuruosmaniye Mosque", and a quick check-up proves that it is this very mosque, indeed), but also past some "normal Istanbul" which inspired me to take some "urban photography" (just this once, mind you, ok, took some more but few were good in the end) .
But soon we arrived at one of the gates into the labyrinth of a bazaar and were there left to our own devices, only to meet the bus (which followed us there) at a pre-arranged point and time.

Everything is VERY colourful there, so much so that "my reader" even asked me to reduce the colours a bit from one of the photos and maybe try some selective colouring on that one, and if only for her ;-) .
And more bazaar colours.
There was, of course, also the "obligatory gold by the metre"... or silverware, for that matter.
Also the old ceilings were impressively colourful!
