We then walked the short distance from the basilica to the centre of Selcuk (with cedille), where we visited the Terrassed House Museum, in which one large room is dedicated to the finds inside the Terrassed Houses in Ephesus when those were dug out again.
But first, we went into a room on the side which held a special exhibition on gladiators and other sorts of "games" being played, also in the theatre in Ephesus, in times when the Romans ruled.

In the central part of the museum, we then saw many statues and other ornaments that once were in the possession of those who lived in those Terrassed Houses of Ephesus...
... such as the statue of the (to my mind) POOR Priapus with his enormously gigantic ... erm ... you know. Poor him. Must have hurt after a while!
Other statues or even walls and the wall ornaments as they may well have been back in times when the Terrassed Houses were somebody's home.
